Heteira II 1976
Bronze
42" high
This sculpture was made as a companion piece to Heteira I. It was constructed of plaster shards, pieced together in sections. There was an original matrix piece for each sculpture, but that has been "lost" in the process. The sculpture is entirely frontal, to be viewed as a painting, from one point of view. It was made and should be exhibited under strict frontal lighting. This lighting was a condition of making the sculpture. Many of these frontal pieces have been sold. Almost none of the owners display the piece under the requested conditions.
